Our story

OTel was born not just as a hospitality brand, but as a deeply personal vision — a response to a growing void in travel: the lack of authentic, soulful, and thoughtfully designed boutique stays that make people feel at home anywhere in the world.  

It all began with a journey. As a passionate traveler and entrepreneur, the founder found himself drawn to the quiet charm of the mountains, the energy of coastal towns, and the rich culture embedded in India’s most untouched corners. OTel launched in 2023 with a single property and has since expanded to 5 properties in 18 months, each offering local experiences that reflect the essence of their surroundings, with plans to launch 2 new luxury resorts in the next 6 months.

OTel emerged as an answer to that longing for boutique stays. Built on the belief that "travel should feel personal again," the brand set out to create accommodations that blend the comforts of luxury resorts with the essence of local experiences. Each O‑Tel property — from forest-facing chalets in Sariska to lake-kissed retreats in Bhimtal and vibrant beach getaways in Goa and Phuket — is handpicked and designed to reflect its natural and cultural context, with mindfulness at its core.

However, OTel’s mission extends beyond just beautiful properties. It aims to address a larger issue: disconnection — between people and places, and between hospitality and heart. By infusing local art, cuisine, nature, and storytelling into the guest experience, OTel reimagines what it means to stay somewhere — not merely as a visitor, but as a part of the destination’s narrative. Today, OTel is more than just a name in hospitality; it’s a burgeoning community of travelers, dreamers, and seekers who believe in slow travel, conscious living, and the magic of beautifully curated spaces.
